Food Bank

We have a food donation point at our monthly meeting at Christ Church Thornton. This is run by Martin and the church will then distribute everything collected to people in need.

Tinned goods (beans, fish, fruits, meats, soups, vegetables)

Dry goods (biscuits/snack bars, breakfast cereals, pasta, packet rice)

Long life milk, jams & spreads. Anything non-perishable.

Toiletries and toilet rolls.

RNIB Stamp Appeal

At our meeting at the Christ Church, Meadows Avenue, we will have a box into which you can place all your used stamps in support of this appeal. Collect old, new or foreign stamps for RNIB and help make a difference to blind and partially sighted people. If you receive cards and letters through the post please save the stamps.  Carefully cut around the stamp leaving about a 1cm border and then place them in the u3a collection box at the monthly meeting. Stamps are sold by weight and the RNIB turn them into much needed funds.
